The Fair Maiden Cries Her Part

Sitting here, love’s far way

I’m tired of yesterday

Well I have drunk all of your wine

Now I’m standing on your time

No need to wash up a crime

Love’s falling fast asleep

Shame, it can’t stay on its feet

Mary’s always been alone

The axiom of sticks and stones

Falls down by my side

With the sun shining down the night

Falsehood on its side

Is such a tasteless sight

Mary runs for the hills

Smiles at a standstill

The kids come running

Locked in warning, not out of fear

I don’t want her back she can stay dear

The world came, time’s spent

I’m leaving you out of common sense

The Yellow Abattoir

This is the last song in this particular series titled 'Mary-Louise', I think we each have a fool’s paradise that we like to camp out on from time to time. So I wanted to share my little adventure with you. Now, I’m calling out your game because I played this before.

Love has a sick way of leaving me around

Varied at most, autumn leaves

Winter notes his thieves

Mary pleases while she takes

She looks at the face and does what it says

Oh the numbers and letters got hold of me

She caves at the top

She does little things just tear me up

She goes and she does what she wants

She leaves me alone in the dark all of night

She says kids please don’t fight

She tears me apart with the break of the dawn

And I’m still smiling here loving, I know

Thinking when will it stop

Red Headed Animals

Louise says things that gingers don’t mean

Dirty lies washed cleaned

She looks down, smirks and moves on

The times have worn out

She causes harm that's left to undo

Dreamers keep pets alive with pride

Louise is wrong and not by your side

Lovers to watch animals devour one another

Now only sex lingers to bother

The wolf’s peach exploded with seeds

The felines will stick to the rouse

Love didn’t stick to the rules

It’s not sorry

Those tousled curls were the world

Cages join in flight

Louise can’t find her place

It’s such a disgrace

The Cat and the Tomato

I'm not sure if I will ever record any of these songs, they are more like short stories than songs. This is an ongoing series of songs, this is the 2nd of 4 songs that intertwine. So without further ado, The Cat and the Tomato. Please make sure to pronounce tomato, like /təˈmɑːtoʊ/, otherwise the muse is gone.

The wheels are less important when they’re rolling

Mary, I don’t count and not that I can’t see

Please don’t leave for wanting something more

The war is here, its knocking on your door

Second rounds better for me

The time I left under the pillow

Tired, inspired, dying all at once

Nothing like you’ve seen before

A long time ago

Mary’s lost in daze

No I can’t see her face

I won’t look away

She looks and feels the same

Mary pulls him back to sleep

Don’t make it up to me

I won’t leave you dead now

It’s too late to turn away now

The cat can go its way

And the tomato wants another rhyme

She counts, looks and sways

It’s all misplaced

Trick or Treat

Think 'Beatles' guitar chords incongruously combined with not so poppy piano chords backing, and you get the new song I just wrote and have yet to record.

Mary doesn’t seem to even bother

This office’s gotten hotter

I know she tired of living this life

She sits behind those days

Never conjuring up a word

She just can’t seem to bear

I’ll make it up I swear

I told Mary, don’t get tired worried about the past

It’s all set out to last

A&E said some things

But they just don’t seem

To fit between the seams

Hello old man

Distance to moving van

Who put her on the street

Trick or treat

Long hair flowing in the warmth

She keeps moving on

Singing songs just to walk toward the night

In the religious light

Heed the uneasy that shall be

Listen there’s nothing I won’t do

To fall out the shelf with you

Mary’s eyes will make it up to me

Looking for the war

Knocking on its door

Trick or treat

I want something more

Though I'm too scared to ask

Turn away at last

Trick or treat

For you
